RIO RANCHO NEW MEXICO

Rio Rancho NM – The City of Enchantment

Located in New Mexico, Rio Rancho is a city that is a part of the Albuquerque metropolitan area. It is located in the state’s Sandoval County and is the most populous city in the county. The population of Rio Rancho is estimated to be around 25,000 people.

Population estimates

Located in the center of New Mexico, Rio Rancho is one of the fastest growing cities in the state. The city’s rapid growth is fueled by its affordable housing and quality schools. The area’s racial demographics include 81.0% white, 7.0% African American, 2.6% American Indian, and 7.0% other.

Rio Rancho was originally conceived as a retirement community. In the early 1960s, the AMREP Corporation purchased 55,000 acres of land in the Rio Rancho area. The company offered free slide shows and free movies. It also marketed Rio Rancho to residents in the eastern states.

AMREP grew from a small mail-order business to a larger real estate company. It sold land for $180 an acre for a residential acre and $25,000 for commercial acreage. It also worked with Rio Rancho to recruit businesses.

Gross receipts tax rate

Earlier this month, the governor of New Mexico announced plans to cut a tax on gross receipts for the first time in forty years. The governor said the statewide reduction would save families $145 million per year.

The governor’s plan would lower the gross receipts tax rate from 5.125% to 4.875%. This would result in a savings of 0.25%.

The proposed tax cut has gained support from both sides of the aisle. Some lawmakers want more sweeping changes to the tax code, while others say the reduction would be a good way to help New Mexico compete with out-of-state businesses. Some lawmakers are concerned about the impact a reduction would have on local tax rates.

The governor said the reduction would be good for New Mexico businesses. In a recent article in the Albuquerque Economic Forum, the governor mentioned that the state’s total revenue had climbed to record levels in the past two years, and that this was a positive sign for the economy.

It’s been in the works for some time now. ‘The Block’ will be located on the northwest side of the Plaza at Enchanted Hills shopping center.

The Block will be home to at least a dozen repurposed shipping containers in an open concept design. It’s also the first retail complex in New Mexico to incorporate curbs to minimize traffic congestion.
