1. Altitude Trampoline Park

Altitude Trampoline Park is the place to go for high-energy, exhilarating entertainment. It offers a foam pit, gymnastics “tumble tracks,” a kid zone, basketball dunking lanes, dodge ball and group fitness in addition to many more cutting-edge, family fun activities.

It’s a great place to celebrate a birthday party or just have fun with the kids. The facility also offers other notable attractions such as the High 9 Reaction Wall, Rock Climbing and Wipeout.

2. Bur Oak Park

Bur Oak Park is a lovely place where you can spend time with your family. It features a nice trail paved for anyone who wants to jog, walk, or ride their bike.

It is also a beautiful place for picnics. You can find plenty of green grass and a playground to play in.

Volunteers from Black River Audubon Society and Western Reserve Land Conservancy recently worked at this pocket-sized park to plant native trees and wildflowers in the hope of attracting birds to the area.

The park is home to the 5.5-mile Bridgeway Trail, a paved all-purpose trail that follows the Black River through its meanderings from Elyria to Lorain. It spans four city jurisdictions and is one of the most popular parks in Lorain County Metro Park system.

3. Blank Slate

As Ohio’s 14th largest city revamps and expands, it’s also becoming more of a culture hub. One of the newest glommers is Blank Slate, a volunteer-run, all-inclusive, innovative and fun art and music space that is a must for anyone who loves a good time. The most popular and successful events include the aforementioned e om, weekly film nights, music concerts and a plethora of community events.

4. Elywood Park

The park is home to a number of trails that wind through the forest, providing visitors with ample opportunities for a quiet stroll. This 145-acre park features rivers and waterfalls as well as hemlock forests.

The Children’s Garden Project (also known as the Elwood Children’s Garden) is a great place for kids to learn about gardening and nature. They can pretend, interact and get creative in this outdoor environment.

Biking is a popular activity in Elyria, with families of all ages enjoying trails, whether it’s a leisurely family ride on the North Coast Inland Trail or a long-distance journey through Lorain County Metro Parks. With varied terrain, trail connectivity and plenty of bike rentals for beginners, it’s an ideal way to enjoy the outdoors.

5. Ely Square

Ely Square is a historic area in downtown Elyria that hosts numerous festivals, events and activities. It is a great place for family fun and entertainment.

The Ely Square fountain is undergoing a restoration, and several projects are being completed in the vicinity of this landmark. Some of them are streetscape upgrades, lighting improvements and new signage.

There are also several historical murals that will be positioned in the area. They will depict a variety of topics, including Elyria’s 200-year history.

The Hickories Museum is a wonderful place for those who love history and architecture. It has a 19th century mansion that features unusual residential architecture and a lot of interesting artifacts.
