History

Located in Central Texas hill country, Round Rock has a long and storied history. The area was first settled by the Comanche and Tonkawa. The Indian tribes in the area suffered enormous losses of life and disease.

When the railroad arrived in the 1870s, the community began to grow. In the 1880s, Round Rock became a commercial center. Its population grew rapidly. It had several hotels and other businesses. The area was a bedroom community for Austin workers.

The railroad also brought a lot of new residents from all over the world. The city was a major transportation hub for cattle drives and trading.

It is home to several major retail centers, including IKEA, Bass Pro Shops, Walmart Supercenter and several others.

The city is located on Interstate 35, making it easy to access. It also features an impressive collection of green spaces, parks and playgrounds. It is also home to the Dell Diamond, a minor league baseball stadium. This stadium is the home of the Round Rock Express, a minor league affiliate of the Houston Astros.

Chisholm Trail

Located in Round Rock, Texas, Chisholm Trail Crossing Park is a historic site that commemorates the Chisholm cattle drive. The park features historical scenes of the Chisholm cattle drive, as well as information about the history of the area.

The Park was dedicated in the year 2003. It is located at 1700 Chisholm Trail Rd. in the Round Rock Commerce Pk subdivision of Williamson County. It is not currently for sale. There are no permits or liens filed on the property. The owner is a company named Link Logistics. They plan to build a $38 million development along Chisholm Trail Road. They expect the project to be completed in 2023.
