Visual Edge Technology Completes Acquisition of Commonwealth Technology
Visual Edge Technology’s (VisualEdge) GEI Wide Format announces new strategic business partnership with FUJIFILM North America Corp.
North Canton, OH — August 25, 2014— Visual Edge Technology Inc. has completed the acquisition of Commonwealth Technology Inc., one of the leading independent document management solutions dealers in the U.S..
Commonwealth provides sales and service of Canon, Kyocera, and Konica Minolta multifunctional products, assorted office solution software, managed print services, and IT solutions. The Commonwealth Technology acquisition will give Visual Edge access to more than 3100 new customers and increased coverage across the entire state of Kentucky.
Troy Turner, President of Commonwealth stated, “In a rapidly consolidating industry, it is extremely important for us to operate from a stronger competitive position, while remaining an independent business within the Visual Edge Office Solutions family.
Commonwealth, founded in 1987, currently employs 70 people. Mr. Turner and his senior management team will continue in their current capacity at the company. Commonwealth, headquartered in Lexington, Kentucky, covers the entire state through additional branch locations.
